Well, we are already done our 10 weeks of learning new skills. At first, I must admit, I was not impressed with setting up my blog account. I found it quite confusing to do and hoped that all the other skills would not be as difficult and as time consuming! But as the weeks went by and the chalenges varied, it became more and more interesting and the tasks easier. I really enjoyed the whole process and learned so much!!!
My favorite thing was "Pinterest", I found hillarious pictures of dogs, awesome recipes, great crafts for kids, etc. I also find it is the most useful. I was surprised to discover today's "thing" - Stumble upon, I find it is really cool and I had never heard about it! I will defenitely continue using most of the things for work and personnal use, like a blog for the Library would be great. Pinterest has all kinds of craft ideas we can use for story time or other activities, Wordle is awsome for making signs or posters for publicity at work, etc....As for Pinterest, I have spent countless hours, in my free time at home, just surfing it and sharing cool stuff with my friends on Facebook!
Now that the sessions are over, I must admit I'm a little sad! I really enjoyed learning all these new things! Now I feel more up-to-date in the virtual world and more confident about my abilities.
thanks for the 23 things, it was awesome!

APPS!
Well, since I don't have a smarphone or iPhone (yet!) I was unable to do this weeks exercises. I do have a tablet at home and I already downloaded the apps requested in the exercise. So all is good!

Scoop it!
I really enjoyed this week's new thing! The only thing I had ever scooped before was ice cream! As you know, I found something hillarious on dogs (Subaru Commercial) you have to see.

CBC Radio, Is this the end of libraries as we know them?
This is a great debate on the CBC radio, hosted by none other than Jian Ghomeshi, It's about the future of our libraries and it really makes you think! One of the top rated reference libraries in the world is located in New York. They have big plans that has caused over a thousand people to sign a petition against it.... they want to remove a huge part of their reference collection to make room for extra computers, a coffee shop, etc. This seems to be the new trend. Are our libraries becoming social hubs? Are they losing their relevance! Listen to the Podcast debate and decide!
